Gift experiences for the outdoors person on your list
Outdoor adventures are some of my favourite things to do with others! They make perfect gift experiences for anyone who likes to get outside and enjoy the weather.
Make your own paddle
Bring the power of a hand-made and experience gift all in one by making your own canoe paddle. First, let me introduce you to Jenni, owner and artist behind Spirit Tree Paddle Company located in Paris, Ontario. She starts with a hand-picked slap of wood, whittling it down using a spokeshave until it resembles a paddle.
She spends hours hand-carving, stamping and finishing each one. No two are alike as they all come from different slaps of wood, with unique grain patterns. Plus, if you want to customize one with unique wood-burned art, you can totally do that too!
The best part is that if you want to learn how to carve your own paddles, Jenni offers two-day workshops to show you how it’s done, coach you through the process, and you leave with your own handmade paddle.
These paddles make for a one-of-a-kind gift experience for any outdoor lover. You can find out more about her shop, what she’s got in stock and her workshops on her website.
