Flights
Daily Drop Pro – Finding cheap flights can feel like a full-time job, but Daily Drop Pro does the hard work for you. This service sends out curated flight deals straight to your inbox, helping you score incredible savings on airfare without spending hours searching. It’s only costs about $149/year. I recently used it to go visit my grandparents who live in a different province. Usually flights there are about $800 return, but I got an alert from Daily Drop Pro and it only cost me $179 round trip! I also sent an alert to a friend who visits her home country of Ireland a lot, and the alert saved her 50% of the normal flight cost! Plus, I adore watching Kara and Nate (who started Daily Drop Pro) and love to support them. The great thing is that Daily Drop alerts you to flight deals, and you can book on whatever platform you normally use. For me, I typically book directly with the airline.
Accommodation
Booking – Whether you’re looking for budget-friendly stays or luxury hotels, Booking has one of the largest selections of accommodations worldwide. I love their flexible booking options, which often include free cancellations, perfect for unpredictable travel plans. I use them often to book places to stay when I travel for weddings and it’s the first place I check for good accommodation deals.
Vrbo – Vrbo specializes in vacation rentals, making it an ideal choice for families, groups, or long-term stays. If you prefer an entire place to yourself rather than a hotel room, this is a fantastic alternative. I will typically use Vrbo over Airbnb, and I like their customer service better.
Expedia – Expedia is a great one-stop shop for booking flights, hotels, and car rentals all in one place. They also offer bundle deals, which can help you save even more on your trip. I bundle this with my travel credit card for extra points.
Hostelworld – If you’re a budget traveller or love meeting new people, Hostelworld is the best platform for booking hostels. It has great reviews, detailed listings, and plenty of options for both dorms and private rooms. 100% of my hostel stays on this platform, from Iceland to Germany to USA.
Airbnb – Airbnb offers unique accommodations, from cozy apartments to treehouses and boutique stays. It’s perfect for travellers looking for a more unique accommodation experience.
Tours & Activities
Get Your Guide – Get Your Guide is my go-to for booking tours and activities! The platform helps you find and book top-rated activities, excursions, and experiences. I love using it for skip-the-line tickets and guided tours, especially in popular destinations.
G Adventures – 🍁 If you’re looking for small-group tours that focus on authentic experiences, G Adventures is a fantastic choice. They offer trips worldwide, from cultural immersions to epic outdoor adventures, all while prioritizing sustainable and responsible travel. Whether you're a solo traveller or going with friends, their itineraries take the stress out of planning while giving you a chance to connect with like-minded explorers. I used G-Adventures for my trip to the Galapagos and loved every minute!
Viator – Viator is my second option for booking tours and activities around the world. Whether it’s a food tour in Italy or a guided hike in Patagonia, Viator connects you with trusted tour operators to make your trip unforgettable.
Transportation
AutoEurope – Renting a car in Europe? AutoEurope makes it easy to compare rental prices from different companies, helping you find the best deal. They also have great customer service if you ever run into any issues on the road.
Ferry Hopper – If your travels take you to island destinations, Ferry Hopper is a must-have. It lets you search, compare, and book ferry tickets across Europe, making island-hopping seamless and stress-free. I used it for all my ferry rides in Greece and Italy!
Omio – Omio is a fantastic tool for booking trains, buses, and flights across Europe. It simplifies transportation planning by comparing different modes of travel, so you can find the most convenient and cost-effective option. I used Omio for all my train travel on my last trip to Italy!
Tech & Security
Bitdefender VPN – I highly recommend a VPN. A scary story from a former colleague who’s email was hacked when joining a public cafe wifi. they ended up hacking into his facebook and spending $18k on ads. So, A VPN is essential for staying secure while using public Wi-Fi abroad. Bitdefender VPN protects your personal information, allowing you to browse safely and even access region-restricted content. I use this one on my own computer.
Airalo – Airalo offers eSIMs for travellers, eliminating the hassle of buying local SIM cards. With Airalo, you can get affordable data in over 200 countries and stay connected wherever you go. I love Airalo! It makes it so easy to use data when travelling. Use my referral code: OLIVIA2446 to get $4.50 off your first purchase!
Money & Insurance
WISE – Wise (formerly TransferWise) is my favourite way to manage money while travelling. It offers low-fee international transfers and a multi-currency debit card, making it super easy to pay like a local and avoid high exchange rate fees. I used it for my travels in Greece recently and it was SO EASY to use.
World Nomads – Travel insurance is a must, and World Nomads provides comprehensive coverage for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and adventure sports. It’s my top choice for peace of mind on the road.
My travel gear kit
Luggage
Monos Carry On Pro
🍁 Monos makes sleek, durable luggage that’s built to last. Their carry-on is the perfect size for quick getaways, while the check-in bag offers plenty of space for longer trips. With smooth wheels, a sturdy handle, and a minimalist design, this luggage makes travel effortlessly stylish.
Sneakers
Dr. Scholl’s White Sneakers
A comfortable and stylish sneaker is a travel essential, and Dr. Scholl’s White Sneakers are my go-to for all-day wear. With cushioned insoles and breathable materials, they keep my feet happy whether I’m exploring a new city or dashing through an airport.
Luggage Trackers
Tile Pro
Look, I don’t have an iPhone, so I can’t use AirTags (they’re the one apple product I think is genius). Losing luggage or valuables while traveling is a nightmare, but Tile Pro help you keep track of your belongings. Just attach one to your suitcase, backpack, or keys, and you can locate them easily with your phone. The Tile Pro has a replaceable battery, which last about a year, so you can keep them going!
Camera Backpack
Shimoda Explore V2
If you’re a traveler who brings a camera, the Shimoda Explore 25L is a game-changer. It’s designed for adventure, with a comfortable harness system, customizable storage, and weather-resistant materials to keep your gear safe.

E reader
Kobo E-Readers
🍁 Normally I would stress about bringing the right book (I’m such a mood reader) but now, I can load my Kobo with an entire library of books. Plus it’s a lightweight, travel-friendly design. With long battery life and an anti-glare screen, they’re perfect for reading on the beach, in a cozy café, or on long flights. They even have waterproof and colour ones. Why I chose Kobo over kindle was because Kobo was Canadian and it allows me download e-books I borrow from the library.
Fanny Pack
Poppy & Peonies Sidekick
🍁 A stylish and practical way to keep your essentials close! This fanny pack is perfect for travel days when you want hands-free access to your phone, passport, and wallet—without compromising on style.

Staying hydrated while traveling is important, and the Lifestraw bottle ensures you have clean water anywhere. It filters out bacteria and contaminants, making it perfect for both urban and off-the-grid adventures.
Travel Adapter
VYLEE Travel Plug Adapter
I’m always needing to charge a lot of things while travelling, so this travel adapter is a must for international travel. I like having a dedicated one for specific regions, like this one for most of Europe. It has 4 plug in ports and 2 USB and 2 USB C ports for charging multiple devices at once—so you’ll never have to worry about dead batteries abroad.
Rain Gear
Tilley Rain Poncho
Lightweight, packable, and water-resistant, the Tilley Rain Poncho is an essential for unpredictable weather. It keeps you dry without taking up too much space in your bag, making it perfect for hiking or city explorations.
Ear Plugs
Loop Earplugs
Whether you're on a noisy plane or just need a little quiet, Loop Earplugs help reduce background noise while still letting you hear important sounds. They’re great for light sleepers and travelers who need a break from the chaos.
Tech Pouch
Peak Design Tech Pouch
Keeping cables, chargers, and small gadgets organized can be a struggle, but the Peak Design Tech Pouch makes it easy. With multiple compartments and a compact design, it keeps all your tech essentials neatly stored in one place. It’s a bit pricier than a no-name one you can get on Amazon, but I find that it’s super durable and fits a TON of stuff without being super bulky.
Hiking Boots
Columbia Newton Ridge Boots
These boots are a must for any outdoor adventure. Comfortable, waterproof, and sturdy enough for rugged terrain, the Columbia Newton Ridge Boots will keep your feet happy on long hikes or rainy travel days.
Headphones
Anker Soundcore Headphones
These noise-canceling headphones are perfect for flights, trains, or working remotely on the go. With excellent sound quality and long battery life, they help you tune out distractions and enjoy your favorite playlists or audiobooks.
Travel Pillow
Trtl Travel Pillow
I don’t know about you, but I would LOVE to be able to sleep on a plane! But most travel pillows feel like I’m being choked, and the foam ones, which are the most comfortable are just so bulky. I’m excited to try the Trtl Travel pillow, which is a compact alternative to bulky neck pillows. Its ergonomic design helps keep your head upright, making long-haul flights and bus rides much more comfortable.
